The Community

Located three miles east of Estill, South Carolina, Patrick Henry serves the needs of students primarily from Hampton and Allendale counties. The school was founded in response to the desire of interested parents and patrons for a school in which students could be well prepared for college through an excellent educational program in their rural community. Lower school students, K3-4, are housed in the new Gateway wing of the school, and upper school students, 5-12, are housed in the original structure of the school built in 1970.

Patrick Henry does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, ethnic background, or national origin in the administration of its education programs, admissions policies, employment practices, or other administered programs.

College Acceptance and Class Rank

In a typical class, 100% of the students will apply to and be accepted by either a four-year or two-year postsecondary institution. We rank our students based on the South Carolina Uniform Grading Scale. Given the size of each class, the overall strength of our student body, and the rigorous curriculum required of each student, we do not consider class rank as a predictor of success in college.

Our graduates from the past four years have been accepted to or enrolled in one of the following institutions to further their education: Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Aiken Technical College, Anderson University, Charleston Southern University, Chatham University, Clemson University, Coastal Carolina University, Coker College, College of Charleston, Converse College, Embry-riddle Aeronautical University, Florida State University, Furman University, Georgia State University, Georgia Southern University, Lander University, Midlands Technical College, NC State University, Newberry College, North Greenville University, Presbyterian College, Southern Wesleyan University, Technical College of the Lowcounty, The Citadel, Tri-County Technical College, University of Alabama, University of Georgia, University of South Carolina, USC Aiken, USC Beaufort, USC Salkehatchie, Winthrop University, Wofford College
